Everybody is now talking about playing, investing, and managing a team and lead them to success. We have seen several brands grow from scratch to generating revenue running into the millions. Their fans highly treasure their products, and they have attracted millions of fans on social media for support. We have also seen several companies fight to sponsor one brand because of the high number of followers. The sponsors expose their products to a diverse audience. To celebrate the continued growth, today we look at the seven most famous e-sport brands.

Gen G

Gen G is a world-leading e-sport brand established in 2017. The multinational brand is operational in three major cities in Asia and the United States. They are among the very few brands across the world that support women in e-sport. They even introduced TeamBumble, a woman empowerment platform. This single unique move has played a great role in making them one of the most famous e-sport brands.

 When the organization was founded, it had just a few primary players. However, over the years, through sweat and tears, the organization currently has some of the top teams in the world. The players’ hard work and determination have seen them win seven championships in League of Legends, PUGB, and Heroes of Storm. The brand has teams in various games, including CSGO, Clash Royale, Fortnite Apex Legends, and Overwatch.

They have attracted many sponsors, like the University of Kentucky, Benefit, Desker, Sidiz, and Silicon Valley Bank, to mention a few. Currently, the team is worth over €84.3 million ($180 million). Its earnings are estimated to be over €7.5 ($9 million) yearly. 

Cloud 9

Cloud 9 started in 2013 and has risen to become the most valuable brand in the e-sport world. They are based in California, and today they have several games they participate in, including Fortnite, League of Legends, PUGB Mobile, Super Smash bro Melee, Teamfight World of Warcraft, Dota 2, and Hearthstone, among others. In the past two years, they have taken part in several competitions and grabbed 33 first-place positions.

The brand has many partners and sponsorship from very famous companies like Microsoft, Puma, Twitch, HyperX, BMW, ATAT, Redbull, and Secret Lab. Cloud 9 is worth over $400 million in revenue. They use their website to promote and sell various merchandise and products branded with a Cloud 9 logo. These products include posters, pants, t-shirts, hoodies, and koozies.

The Immortals Gaming Club

The Immortal Games were founded in 2006. In the beginning, they were an introductory Call of Duty clan. They are now among the most successful and widely recognized teams globally through hard work and commitment. Under their belt are several e-sport brands, including MIBR, OpTic Gaming, and Los Angeles Valiant. They also own a matchmaking platform known as the Gamers Club, most famous in Latin America and Brazil.

Immortals have diverse sponsors, including KSwiss, eat club, Ironclad, GameStop, and Toyota. The brand is worth over €1177 million ($210 million) and estimated revenue of €9.2 million ($11 million) annually. They also sell Immortals branded jerseys on their official website.

Team Liquid

When the club started in 2000, they mainly played on StarCraft and Battle.net sites. They have since grown and are now among the multifaceted companies known in every part of the world. The brand has over 60 athletes qualified to play in the championship levels. The players participate in over ten top games in major tournaments. These include Fortnite, Street Fighter, PUBG, Rainbow 6 Siege, and CSGO.

 They have also established two franchises in North America and Europe. Additionally, Team Liquid is also a media enterprise. It has a video content production arm known as the 1UP studios. They also own a management agency named Liquid Media. The agency represents highly-rated and top gamers from all over the world.

We estimate the brand value to be over €269 million ($320 million) overall. They also earn a revenue of roughly €20 million ($24 million) each year. Team Liquid has famous corporate sponsors like Twitch, Honda, HyperX, Huya, Monster energy, SAP, and Alienware.

Fnatic

Fnatic e-sports began in 2004. As a reward for their longevity, they are currently one of the most famous e-sport brands worldwide. They have players who play in over 30 diverse games and have accumulated over 200 wins in different championships. Some games played by the brand teams include FIFA League of legends, Dota2, Rainbow Six Siege PUGB, and Fortnite. They have a global audience and a fan base of over 55 million fans and are also the first e-sport brand to be present in India.

The brand has sponsorship from diverse industries, including OnePlus, Letou, Viewsonic, PC Specialist, and Rivalry. We estimate their revenue to be over €143 million ($170 million) and an estimated yearly revenue amount of €13.4 million ($16 million). A small percentage of income is from €12.7 million ($15 million) wins in prize pool awards and the sale of merchandise to millions of their fans across the globe. The merchandise they market and sell includes computer accessories, keyboards, mouses, headphones, branded t-shirts, and jerseys.

FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan, previously known as the Call of Duty Clan, was founded in 2010 by three players. They have since expanded to become a world-renowned multinational brand. Currently, they have several players in various parts of the world, including Thailand, Canada, and Brazil. They have also expanded and added games for their players with games like FIFA, Rainbow Six Siege, Turtle Beach, PUGB, Counterstrike, and Fortnite.

Envy Gaming is a Texas-based brand established in 2007. The brand is currently a multinational organization that produces, streams, and competes in many games like CSGO, Paladins, Fortnite, Call of Duty, PUBG, and Overwatch. The organization takes its brand seriously and has employed various coaches, managers, mental health specialists, and fitness trainers who closely work with players and teams, leading to the brand’s success. They have been consistent in their journey towards becoming one of the most famous e-sport brands on the globe.

The brand was named 2016 E-sport Team of the year. They also have a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for having the longest winning streak recorded in Korea. They have attracted sponsors and partners such as Jack links, Team Infographics Corsair GameStop, and Jack in the Box, to mention a few.
